Efficiency (20th of September)

Here you go, me...le human alarm here to wake somebody up in the early morning because he had to go to the lab to continue with his circuit design at 10ish. We had touched about the topic of food and trip again, as well as my printer problem and such. He has been saving my 10% these days by helping me to print out stuff. And I still need him to continue to do that next week.

The whole day was full of readings, researching, and online discussing for my presentation on Monday. Since we haven't even split our work, none of us had any ideas on how to get it started with our own part. The only thing we did was to get two people to do one reading (since there are two readings here)...So that's how we have started our preparation which I didn't think it was a good idea later on. Though I was arranged to do the first reading, I urged to quickly go through the second reading as soon as I finished the first one. As I expected, the second reading has some similar contents to do with the first one. So I was thinking that if we had to keep it the way of how Taffy asked us to split the work, we would come across with the problem of overwriting each other's work. Then yes....I actually sort of took the lead in the group by talking through this issue online and posted a long message with my plan to split the work. As I already have gone through everything, I expressed my thought towards what each individual has to do and look at, what contents we could put in our parts and questions raised up for the class, of course examples are involved if it's possible. They still haven't replied me yet. I guess they would be sort of freaked out after seeing my super long message to tell them what to do...Sorry...please bear with me...

During this time of waiting for my group members to get back to me, I went to search up for my media artefact for my international security course that is also due on Monday. And I came across with all these articles of the third victim whom had executed almost a week ago by the same person in the previous two videos. After reading through that article, I decided to have it as my media artefact for this week's tut.

Well, by now, I guess my day has been full of productivity with all the work I did. Btw human alarm is here to wait til 10-ish pm to call that person back home tonight since he told me that he'd forget about time when he's really into the project he's doing...

PS: Our presentation is to discuss whether entertainment is as a degenerative intrusion to the rational civil society based on the fact that it has always been in a semi-polluted symbolic position to some people. Well of course, this has something to do with the development of democratic communication norms and such. Plus it doesn't mean that the creation of entertainment media should be treated as subordinated when it actually can be extended to the political realm and leads to a more critical rationality to the information received. (lol...ignore me....I'm just doing a tiny bit of revision here>.>)

Keep on fighting! (19th of September)

Thanks all for Tao's 'good luck' 10 minutes before I had my Jap interaction test, I seriously felt like all the lucks came to me because firstly, Dominic picked the first topic which was what we wanted out of the two. Secondly, though I was a bit uncomfortable in the beginning as Dominic was moving so much, which got me even more nervous, later my brain became clearer and clearer as our interaction progressed. I tried to talk slow yet to keep the fluency at the same time til we were towards the end. But thank god, everything was over after almost 2 weeks of preparation...Some others' performances were great in a creative way. Beatrice and Melissa's was quite amusing; Theo and Kevin's was super exaggerated like geebusssss....How can they be so goooodddddd >3<

So I had my one hour break before heading back to Central. I was staying at the library to do some course readings. Oh I ate this Jap set meal again today near UTS where they serve good food at a cheaper price. I sent this photo of my lunch to her on wechat so she could share my happiness with me :3

Nothing much today except that I almost got this video done, the promotional video that I've been working on for almost 2 weeks haha...I mean, I could have finished it fast if only I've got all the resources from my group members. You know what, I keep on waiting for videos and photos from each individual because they take so long to upload on google drive>3> But it was such a good time to pick up some minor mistakes and flaws from the video to achieve an even better quality :3 Now what I'll be doing for next week is to add Kaki's video clips and marketing events in, plus subtitles to where it's needed and the ending bit where it shows contact details and such then I AM ALL DONE!! I can't wait to see my final work >3<

PS: Typical me staying at the last minute, the really last person to leave AIT. Even the guy asked me that they had to close and waited me to save my work for an additional 15 minutes lol

Epically busy Thursday..(18th of September)

For the sake of the best performance we could have tomorrow, I skipped all my AIT classes today just for my Jap interaction practice with Dominic for a good few hours at the main library. We had our good time practicing 2 scripts over almost 5 pages. To memorize everything wasn't hard. The hardest part is whether you can manage to perform it well in front of the class by imitating the Jap accent and actions. We switched two scripts at times just to familiarize ourselves with different contexts in case. He was so funny that made me laugh for so many times when we forgot some parts of it, he acted really exaggerated to make it up...After he's been begging me when we could get this done since it was almost his lunch time. Even I could hear his tummy groaning lol...

After our epic practice for the day, I met up with my dear president Sharon in order to get her video. She told me we've got a meeting tomorrow. However, I am not able to make it because I have to get the promotional video done asap. She and Kaki were the ones giving me 5 tickets so I could sell them to my friends..

I had my chicken dim sim afterward at food court. As Tao was soon to finish his experiment at the lab, he came to find me 10 minutes before our language exchange group started. We had some time talking about our day. Later, he told me he's been working on this project which requires him to do a lot of calculation. He then showed me those two pages full of formulas and such with so many unknown symbols lol...

Our language exchange group was such a success. I asked Horace for a few times if he was ok because he seemed so tired and sleepy. During that one hour of language exchange, we had such a wonderful time talking in Japanese. Oh right, we've got a new member too. Her name is Kim, who seems so pro at speaking Japanese, as if everything Takuya speaks can be understood by her. As well as her localized Jap accent was super good compare to the rest of us. I might be the really beginner in our group who sometimes can't even form a full sentence lol...Horace was asked for a few times by Senpai, about his favourite laksa. I have no idea why, like since when senpai has this interest to repeat laksa or just purely mention about it whenever he asks Horace some questions lol...Tao's talk about the human body and such had cracked me up a lot, to the point that he couldn't bear with my evil laughter so then started poking me constantly>.> Oh right, Kim san has been to so many countries and loves so many sports such as Tae Kwon do :3 And I quickly raised up my little hand sayin 'me me me me me !!! I did TKD toooooo!!' Then everyone was laughing at how childish I act=3=...

So I really enjoy my language exchange group. Like a lot!~~Hell lots of fun!!! Oh and to be honest, I had this long nap at the lecture again which I swear to god, I tried my best to keep myself awake but I seriously was tired...I already reached my ultimate sleepiness level for the day that I couldn't stay awake for 2 hours, though it was the one for my presentation next week >3< Sumimasennn....Lucky I've got my group mate Angela to be with me during the lecture. And seriously, even Vanessa didn't find the lecture relate that much to the readings. Now we have this difficult time to look for a right direction to start planning how we want our presentation to be like. After three of us talking for a bit after the lecture, without knowing where to find the other group members as both of them are hard to reach. We talked to the lecturer for another 15 minutes looking for the best solution. He then was trying to find those two's contact details and told us that one of them has moved to another group a few weeks ago, whereas Taffy, the other girl has been having a hard time in dealing with her religious issues...He said he would take into account when assessing our presentation as problems arise between our group members.

It was time to meet up with my other group members at central. 918, the day that they all wanted to celebrate for me xD Sam was the one waiting me there at Chinatown, and pinched my face once he saw me as if I am so damn pinchable>.> We went up to that hotpot place where Mariessa and 321 already there eating. This was the first time ever I saw 321 after been knowing him for almost 3 years as we formed the online group. It was another wonderful time to catch up with my old friends after so long....However, I didn't eat as much as they all expected. Sam has been serving me the whole night no matter I asked or not lol...Our talk was mostly centered around our friendship, some people such as David, uni life, and technologies. 321 is damn funny expressing how he thinks about the world and technology. He likes to describe people with the same phrase 'impressive face', meaning can be good looking or not really dependent on how his reaction was towards the photos we showed him lmao...They all walked me to my platform and waited the train with me til the last minute :3 Thank you guys!!

She told me how insecure she felt as I came home late though. Reading how recently sydney's terrorism alert level has increased, with more than 15 terrorists suspects are captured by now. And several news are updated that ISIS is intentionally or already has planned to execute some random Australians at CBD by beheading them, film it and post on social media. She now banned me to wear platforms as well as not to have my headset with me when I go out these days just for my safety purpose. I know how much she loves me, so I will listen too :)

Lastly chatting with Tao at night til we both went to sleep. We keen to talk about hotpot and spicy food. He said he only ate steam rice and fried eggs for dinner because his friend can't even cook. Yet he was the one inviting him to go to his house for dinner lol...Then we switched the topic to talk about the shape of my face somehow. Another great compliment there. Tao sure knows how to cheer up a girl. Always having this happy talk with someone like him :)

G'day world... (17th of September)

Morning people...I had my awesome morning with my awesome friends today, followed by an awesome talk by Helen who wishes us to start planning for our future when thinking about the concept 'me designer', the poster that is due two weeks later. I had my productive sesh working on my blog post within 2 hours. Today we were required to do some research for those 6 graphic designers and pick one of them to write for our analysis based on the 4 theories we've learned so far. I picked Paula Scher because I found that all the principles can be applied for her artwork.

The second lesson-studio was for me to do my extra work which I hadn't finished from last week.After I got everything done, I opened my written version of promotional video notes and read if there is anything I should add or fix while checking some bits and pieces of my unfinished video...Interesting story for the day was when Ye ri told us something wrong with her bank account in the class...>.> Hopefully that girl has solved her problem eventually..

Nelson and Mickey didn't come today, so I joined Carson and Jim to have lunch at a restaurant nearby. Didn't know since when they started talking about this graphic designer who has been teaching Jim how to make some sophisticated banner...Then our attention was on Carson, the one who told us that having his romantic time with Tia in the cinema a few weeks ago lol...>.>

Coming back to keep working on my promotional video. Around 2-ish, Jamie came all the way here to help me out to type some subtitles and such. I removed half of the photos and clips that Liwen said we could be more focus on fundraising rather than putting up last year's photos. Other than removing the unwanted bits, I tried to make all the clips to their ultimate perfection...Thanks for Jamie's help with subtitles as well as willingly to contact with some interviewees, or else I would be more like working alone lol...

Feeling glad to have my Jap set meal near the train station before heading back home. I sent her and fatty the image of what I ate tonight, they both said I've been so healthy these days lol....Oh and mum has been complaining how petty one of her classmates is, mind you that it's a guy>.> Adding to a few night of insomnia, she drank a glass of wine and got drunk afterwards...I was trying so damn hard to carry her to her bedroom with her evil constant laughter saying how sober she was, yet she couldn't walk straight even to a few steps....She was lying on the floor like a child =3=....Until I picked her up and supported her with my legs, lifted her up using my entire force...what a crazy mum....but cute in a way =3=...>.>

Panpan was depressingly saying how lonely he felt. It's the rejection he had towards me when I couldn't spare much time to talk to him these days...Whilst Tao greeted me online and told me about the book he's been reading. I shared some parts of that drunken experience with him during my 22nd birthday this year. Then someone teased me for not coming to support me which I've asked him to come to our charity dinner on sem break lol I know he's a caring friend, he'd try his best to make it anyways xD And and and my beautiful president Sharon begged me to cut out her video so I'd see her tomorrow just to get the video from her lol....Lastly...love Liwen's way to deal with complicated issues, the efficiency and all are something that I admire of a person...

Bet that I've been sort of having a good day today? :3 You know why, because tomorrow is 18/9   '918'!!! '918' is my day!!! I need to have my mini celebration with my group!!!! Happy third anniversary for all the group members who's been friend with me after we graduated from high schools, from the first time we didn't know anyone to we randomly added each other for the same reason, formed a group and gathered some time for our precious friendship during uni time...Can't believe we've been friends for this long...And we will still be friends in the coming future...Thanks for everyone's support, help and all that we have together :) I love you all...

Absolute annoyance (16th of September)

I didn't work hard enough these days for Japanese T3T...So I only got an alright mark for my quiz :(...

A few hours to stay with Dominic to practice our Jap interaction test together at the library. We have changed some parts of our scripts for a few times in order to make them sound less odd. We had our time laughing how silly I acted when I tried so hard to memorize the script...>.> After trying couple times to memorize the script, I finally gave up because it seriously wasn't a right time for my brain today to memorize that much of contents. I asked him to spare another four hours for me so we could practice more on Thursday. Instead of going to AIT, this time I have to skip my classes for that..

Sleepiness is the biggest enemy. I wonder if that's what coughing does to me these days. I mean, I couldn't even sleep tight almost the whole week since I kept coughing at 2 or 3am which I was totally annoyed...Bet that I wouldn't even able to finish my readings again tonight...But I accept the fact that motivation is gone when I'm lack of energy here...

Learner (15th of September)

Thanks for Tao's help to print out my media artefact. I had a wonderful morning having my first media tut sitting next to the tutor. Reason why I used the word 'wonderful' is that it made me easier to ask the tutor a few questions about the topic of public and private from last week. Today's presentation was really informative and casual-like. These 4 presenters provided some really good real life examples to back up their panel discussion. They have made everything seem less dull, and simultaneously stimulated our attempt to have our mini debate about 'the arts' to an alternative 'imaginative' truth. I love how they led our thoughts to go beyond the actual reading contents, and I wish my presentation, which is next week, could be as awesome as theirs :)

So I've learned something new from the Jap lecture when you address your and someone's else family or friends. There are so many ways to address wife and husband in Jap, as similar as other cultures, say, Chinese. We have developed a lot of terms to address one person depending on what context you are in. Btw, all the best for the ones who are doing interaction test this Friday. I have mine ready except that I haven't practiced with my partner, and some extra stuff we have to add in to extend it to at least 5 minutes because at the moment, the script only takes approximately 4 minutes to finish.

I've also learned this 'speech act' from my second tut today. The tutor used Tony Abbott as the most recent example to show us his point of view. Anyways, after meeting up with Sinclare who gave me the usb at 4-ish, I went home straight.

Deciding to finish my plans tonight, but as usual, only one thing was done...

PS1: I need to work even harder to reach my goal....All thanks to that special someone who has been so encouraging these days...

Continuing hard work (14th of September)

So mum was spooning me in the morning for another half an hour til I finally had to get up and do my work...I saw the tears around her eyes somehow, she hugged me so tightly saying how much she missed somebody. I really wish my hug was as warm as that somebody gives her...

Briefly speaking, I spent approximate 2 hours to memorize 2 scripts. Half of the time, I kept reminding myself what questions I would ask in order. Then I was crazily having this studious mode to read 4 readings over 100 pages tonight til 10pm...I didn't exactly know how long my brain would process all this information, but I only knew that by the time I finished taking all the notes and re-read them all, I could feel my brain become a bit stuffy...With the help of Tao, I was a bit relaxed. And he said he'd help me to print out my media artefact tomorrow morning.

My dear president Sharon has watched my video, and she said the focus might not be right, meaning that I still got a lot to edit since first of all, I have to cut out almost half of the contents, secondly I have to re-arrange the clips' orders to match her ideal of fundraising, marketing, sports and donation trips. But lucky that I got Jamie's support, hopefully we can correct everything by this week :)
