2015 Welcome BBQ (28th of February)

 A day with nice weather 

I already arrived at Central at 9am

Soon Vincent and the rest arrived too

That was my first time to see Yvonne in person
She's a bright, funny, pretty and friendly one
I like how her smile has made my day :)
No..I certainly ain't in love with her>3>
no homo..

So hmmmmm...My lovely friend...another...Yvonne I knew at the same day >.>
yes...the little cute one....
she and her other two friends found us
I then chatted with our three new members quite a lot

Later...the big Yvonne, Shannon and the rest talked to me about the T-shirt
they actually love the white design too
just as much as I like it :)

Quickly ran through the day with the attached images below

the hyper kid, has brought us with loads of fun and laughter
I see her as my second comedian in real life
who doesn't care what people think at all
but acting, just herself
being a funny, vibrant, and crazy one brightening up everyone's day

I, as the one and only photographer for the day
having my precious time taking photos around each group
the first game was as an ice breaker for everyone to get to know each other
by remembering people's names in their own cycle
Once you forgot, you would get executed by 10+ waterguns behind lmaoo
No wonder people would get me as their shelter
because that is the safest place where people wouldn't shoot me with their watergun

hahahaha....For the sake of not to cause any damage to my camera
nobody would dare to pour water on me :3
Yeh...there was like a line...a literally long line behind me when people were going to get punished
But you know what
Our executives are smart enough to capture people at times
they manage to do so by chasing them all around the park til that person has no way to escape :3

I was so much satisfied with me actually playing the game

Game continued...People were all paying attention to everyone's name called out

there might be some chance where you miss out something, or hardly remember people's faces, OR

you simply just have a golden fish-ish memory hardly processing the repetitive pattern goes around a group of people saying their names

then YOU ARE FKED...

Please train your memory before you attend events next time

we can't guarantee what physical punishment we would have

My three beautiful ladies asked me to go up there to take photos

but I refused...

For me who has this height phobia would only say no to tall spots...

I just wouldn't know whether I would be able to climb down there later lol

But I took quite a few pictures for my three pretty ladies

Coming back with people calling where I was

At last..people exchanged contact details...

that has always been one of the last things to do in a gathering

I don't remember how many people I've added to my wechat, facebook, and numbers

Some of them asked, two of them were the ones I asked

Right, this cute petroleum emgineering Thai girl (what a long title lol) was the one I seriously wanted to be friend with

Lucky I got her contact much earlier

coz she left early too

I hope I could see her some time in uni soon :)

Oh and Shannon was hugging me at the back like a teddy bear o3o

It has been so long that a girl would be that attached to me lmao

And and and I enjoyed talking about photography with Jasmine, so much uni and work stuff with Vincent on the bus, and lots and lots with some others too

For all these, I'm really happy that I join PH

A big family with faith, love and hope

I really have felt all that

manning the stall for PH in the last day of O-Week
I didn't know where our store room is
til some volunteers led me down to the arc room
where I later found out from Bea, who told me to go G040
That was when I needed everyone to carry boxes
I ended up carry the huge box with Sarah, the white girl
whose I was really surprised of her being a volunteer for our stall

It was pretty dead since Friday was the last day of O-Week
everyone had this kinda face I-DO-NOT-CARE
They walked past
We tried to approach them
they rejected us even when we were trying to just give them flyers
sometimes we got rejected
like how Tianhao got rejected by a bunch of girls
who gave him this please-stay-away-from-me face
they dodged us too
I received several NOs from people lol
Then I began to search for some freshmen
because they are usually nicer than the experienced
There were several ones I told them to check out our stall first
the only reason for me to do that is that Josh, the loquacious one
knows so much better in persuasion
his talking went fully smooth
none of the words coming from his mouth would bored people
That was a great success asking Josh to be waiting at the stall and explain in the beginning

Later
Josh had to take a newbie to upper campus
Hence, that spot started to be taken by me
I stood there screaming loud and acting crazy to grab people's attention at first
Some came for a laugh
some came for some serious information
and some just asked if I was ok

Welcome to Vincent, the president and my coordinator Sinclare
who came later at the afternoon shift
I started to be so lively like hell
talking so much, promoting a lot
for all that I can
Sinclare was helping us to hand out the flyers and pamphlet
I encouraged those volunteers to be more active in promoting
where is the enthusiasm?
I was setting such a good example for them to know what enthusiasm really is
For some people, I looked for some similarities between us
in order to create some sorta resonance
it did work
like that media and design little cutie pie
Once I knew she's also doing media
I instantly gave her a hi-five
telling her if she's got any problems with softwares
I might be able to help her out
we exchanged contact details
she was so happy to sign up for our group at the end
also grabbing a few of her friends doing the same

There was another guy that I talked to the most
was interested in joining too
He said he's now working as an assistant in his faculty and a part time engineer at some company
also has joined so many competitions, and winning some prizes
We then talked for almost 20 minutes at the stall
And of course, my Actuarial friend, Marek, the one works with me as an investment consultant came to pay a visit
We both promoted our own groups to each other lol

Anyways I've done enough for the stall
40 people signing up for the last day wasn't bad at all
though we were aiming for a 50
I had a lot of fun doing all the promotion and interacting with my members and my volunteers
of course, my coordinator and president too
and the money guy
who later called me a bitch >3>
when I introduced our department as the most talented one to new members lmao :3

Ahh...
Dar dar has been working hard in lab
Right after I finished manning the stall at 4-ish
I grabbed a few redbulls for him
Vincent was there judge me, but I don't care xD
he said I was too damn greedy to grab 4 redbulls...>.>
 I hope that one hour of break had relieve dar dar a bit
He's been too stressful these days le *puppy face*

PS: My bus ticket was lost...
no..not literally....
I chucked that in the bin
coz I forgot that's a 10 pass ticket =3=
Mum's raving on the phone was expected
it was my fault for being such a dumbass...

这吃脑的东西 (26th of February)

Hmm 一波三折啊我可怜的嘛嘛

早上扭到腰，痛得直飚泪

躺在床上良久

直到我帮她用吹风桶在左边的位置一直吹

她才渐渐好起来

嘛。。。买东西的时候脚又踢到trolley。。

回家后那伤口变成了那血红的水泡。。*惊*

还有我叫她的时候

她当时在柜子里翻东西

就这么一叫

她整个人挺起来

于是。。

头直接撞到板了 =3=

我嘛。。

今天除了update一下post

弄一下社团的东西

接着不知道几点开始看某人的thesis

为了弄清楚一些engineering terms什么的

看了一些readings

也查了很多东西

嘛

既然要帮人

就要帮得彻底

总不能草草了事

所以额。。

虽然跟某人说晚上应该可以完成所有的修改

可是到最后我只读到了一半左右我就开始有读不下去的疲倦感

我很尽力地去选part读

希望我能坚持读多一点

可是额

这已经不是修语法的问题了

更多的是

我有点不知道怎么改 lol

好吧。。

是我脑力不够

我这菜鸟还改一个research engineering student的paper

我真有点受宠若惊了

Promotion continued (25th of February)

长话短说

今天忙了一个下午的poster design

event page and promotion post
晚上还要跟人协商，改东西，各种PH的任务

所有的所有

为了周六的welcome bbq

我的poster还是不错的

一下子就赢得了掌声

虽然后来主席叫我修改了小细节什么的

还有嘛

只是因为cover photo的问题

看不到details

他希望我把structure改成左右instead of up and down

就在这些小问题上

我改了好几次 lol

还有嘛

event page花了我还蛮长时间去写的

因为电脑实在是太laggy了

嘛嘛的电脑wifi又上不去=3=

貌似我的post还蛮有效的

如果早那么几个小时弄上去

say afternoon

可能曝光率会高很多

目前有那么20人左右click going

不知道接下来的这两天会有多少人来了

这也得看我们promotion的力量究竟有多强大了

嘛 今天是人日

看到某人的一些群聊突然觉得我很幸运

因为我从不犯花痴也从不花时间追逐

little O-Week helpers (24th of February)

命运总是曲折的 哈哈

今早心情还不错

去到社团帮了好几小时

认识了几个新朋友

刚开始的时候没事做
一直站在旁边拍拍这，拍拍那的
后来想起student card貌似expire了
去了图书馆溜达了差不多半个小时
趁着这时间也偷偷懒这样
之后也见了dar dar那憔悴样
这孩子最近辛苦了喂
他跟我说这段时间准备都留在lab过夜了
是呀 时间实在太紧迫了
某人神经紧绷到一个无法入睡或起得很早的状态
我嘛。。我最多只能帮他改改thesis
或者是帮他写上一个chapter这样子
我真的只能在背后默默支持这可怜的孩子了

回到stall后
我本来打算待多一会就走了
可是突然我就来劲了
因为某两个人开始跟我搭话什么的
两个volunteers过来跟我靠近乎
我也跟他们俩聊了一下
才发现其中一个正是要星期五跟我在一起看stall的
他知道星期五是我incharge后
急忙用boss称呼我
嘛。。搞到人家不好意思了..

好吧
我后来也就帮promotion team去拉人了
我跟Chia成双成对地在main walkway走走
看看哪个新人approachable就跟谁promote
嘛 有些人愿意留下来倾听一下我们讲的
我尽量在Chia快不行的时候上去跟新人又聊一番
有时候一个人真的很难搞定两三个人的
不强势不行额
但太强势又把fresh meat吓跑了
幸好我们也成功地把很多人拉到stall里
让我们更多的executives和volunteers帮他们信服
然后看着他们签下了名字，交上了钱什么的
我们终于又可以去找下一个目标了
话说下午比早上热闹很多
早上下雨嘛。。
本来promotion拉人就不好做
下雨就worse了
队员们想到了这么一个方法就是
拿着雨伞去送温暖
直接雨伞一个靠上去新人就很难逃走了
还别说
我们还真成功了几次

之后嘛
因为我们这个stall是与另一个社团share着的
有好些人听完我们讲一大堆有的没的后
原本要加入我们的
之后签到隔壁去了
误会误会。。幸好我们发现得早
而且他们是不用钱，而我们是要钱的

另外我还真佩服自己跟几个日本人靠近乎
以达到promotion的作用
不过这生意到最后还是没谈成哈 lol
可能是我太可怕把人吓跑了>3>

不过再可怕也没有我们的event director Beatrice夸张得可怕。。
她的promotion方式就是站在路中间伸出双臂递flyers和pamphlets
无论你要不要
她直接吼你叫你要 lol....

今天还真的蛮开学
因为我还收到两个好消息
一个是real estate manager终于给我个回复
说到时候repairs会安排的了
还有那个公司也打电话给我
叫我周三去面试了
不过在这之前
首先我要把一些代表作发到他email

我还真没认为生活一下子可以顺成这个样
幸好我还真没相信
因为坎就在开心到似乎无止境的时候突然就出现了
嘛嘛的电脑突然连不上wifi了
我在ait的时候收到她的信息以为是小问题
等我回去几下子应该就能解决的
不成什么事
可是我错了
我整个晚上做不成什么事啊
一直就是用我电脑查着所有可能性的解决方法
wifi还是神气地给我隐身。。
network connection一直很碍眼地显示着can't find wifi connection
我真急了。。
到底哪出问题了？

由于时间的问题
几小时都无任何结果后
我放弃了
接着回去做我自己的事情
然后分配sinclare做她该做的事
不过wechat公众平台一直都log不上去
还要经过lin的validation
好吧。。

Me older (23rd of February)

Happy bday to me

I am here to announce that this girl is finally 23..

didn't do much today but chilling 

as in updating my blog posts and reading through some info for the training

Maybe due to that pure luck from my bday

I finally made the contact with the property maintenance group

after quite a while of waiting for their damn response

then I was asked to email the manager first to let her place the order for them to do the repairs

In the afternoon

I talked to my lovely fattie for an hour

he told me how much he misses me

and that I should share some love to him 

just like how much I love my mum too

because he does feel unfair being ignored, without care from me

anyways say bravo to my dinner

mum did lead me to an awesome Vietnamese restaurant at rivy

the price is low, food is nice, portion is large too

what else can you ask for?

4 quails are only for $12!!

the huge bowl of noodles with pork, beef and other meat all together is just less than $10!!

AND a drink with jackfruit plus another fruit (I forgot) is only $5

everything is nice

no wonder there are groups of people coming in and out

the restaurant was packed

the waitresses were pro at serving

they can even carry 3 huge bowls or dishes all at once o3o

anyhow...

time to go back to work as I came back

I was asked to do some promotion stuff for PH

so yeh...

Le freaking retardedness (22nd of February)

How disgusting it is for me to read academic reading even before I start uni lol

jokes....I would like to help

but my brain is not functioning today

I still had to ask him to repeat couple times in Chinese lol...

I guess my retardedness does freak people out

In the restaurant where I totally didn't care about my image

making those little weird yet eerie nonsense cute voice when talking to him

and my expression was just out of control

I couldn't even say what I wanted to say

I kept having the wrong pronounciation when I spoke

he then teased me with my funny accent as if I was swearing

and making that pun intended joke out of my retardedness

I just couldn't be serious about whatever we were talking about

even about his IELTS test

I was laughing at how fast he changed the subject and such

he thought I was mocking him for the failure of not being able to get 9 for listening

I only wish my retardedness can stop too

But it continued... lol

No...the only regret is that

I couldn't go to the parade this year

btw IELTS listening seem easy

assuming that the actual exam might be much harder
