T's: Couple weeks ago, my stupid har har(Y) invited me to Beams Art Festival. It took place at Central park where is behind the modernized Shopping Centre. Since the event started at 5ish, we couldn't wait to go to the Beam Fest together. The same street is the one we walk together for so many times. This has reminded me of the first time I walked with her from AIT. Due to the sky was still bright as we arrived, we decided to stay upstairs at Shopping Centre to spend some quality time. An hour back then, we browsed around the mall and discovered something new. Fun, with more fun, always fun with har har. Next, we ended up sitting at an ourdoor area and she started to take out her camera to capture the views around her with her artistic eye. Later, I was asked to take a sketch of scenes of different poses done by her. Such an energetic girl I've ever seen. Since it was getting dark, we walked to our destination slowly hand in hand.

Beams will dazzle you with a fusion of contemporary art with over 350 creatives working across light, video, performance, dance, site-specific sculptural installation and live music. First art work in our sight were some huge glittering eggs scattering on a particular region. Each of them was made of a light bulb as a core, and it's covered by a group of plastic cups linking together as a net. The brightness of this batch has given a large amount of light to the spectators. While it continues to shine, spectators from all direction were attracted to this fascinated view and put it into their artistic collection by capturing it with cameras and phones. Including Har har recorded videos and took images from different angles.
On the right hand side, the utilisation of different colours of light synchronises the human's motions by projecting the flow of movement onto the colouring wall.
They bring design, animation, performance and computer science altogether in a way of reflecting real-time motion graphics, projection mapping, and more importantly, interactivity between machine and human.
Another creative work needs to be mentioned was the one below. (sorry~no pictures taken in this case..) I think this art illustrated a brief vision of the universe, represented by countless of various holes in size penertrated through black paper, backlit with LED light.
We eventually took some photos in black and white in order to show a new sense of realism like those artists. Usually, hue photos are even have a deeper sense to present a greater story. At around 8, we walked up to a Viet restaurant to have dinner. Initially, we went there for the steak but the restaurant seemed to have been doing a promotion by holding a steak challenge, and that the steak was sold out, so we just ordered some noodles instead. After all, another fun festival with har har. Beam fest is real fun, even more than vivid...But all it matters is that we explored newness together for the time being. I guess, that's where most of the happiness is coming from..
From Y's perspective towards the event
Not so sure whether I should use pictures to spam here... I mean, I was the one taken most of the pictures and recordings for the night...so why not? :3
My favourite part is using my camera to record the visual and audio effects of every artwork. Not every one of them was with the addition of sound. But when they did, they were like hooks grasping the inner feeling of yours. The arousal of making you not to miss the very nature of their representation, and turned them into one category of your collection.
Sometimes arts doesn't involve an objective understanding by its look. The simplistic structure, and the random display is enough to please you. Why would you form yourself a puzzle if you were just going there to 'feel' the given colour and fun? You ain't there to study why they use a specific colour of theme to present an object. Of course, we still consciously do that sometimes but not a must...

Definitely, not everyone prefers this method of image capturing. And I was only doing that by accident. So I won't praise myself, and you can always judge that.
Another favourite...T suggested to capture this scene in black and white...which is true, camp story might have been even more immersive if I did...
Additionally, this one is made by AIT....Yes... I just love how interactive it was made by a connection between actions performed on a number of drums and the change of components in a pattern. I suppose this is how digitalisation has brought us with a new wave of invention in terms of patterned movements and digitalised activation to performance. Everyone will always wonder how something works amazingly. But you don't bother, it just does. lol The signal of you as a recipient, see the visuals from an external, then this message is transmitted to your brain for a decoding, and forming that sense of perception. We now are 'feeling' the image after a journey of travel through nerves. Far but also close...

wooohooooo Graffiti! Still, black and white! Because this is what we thought it would be the best to make it look this way for its most purity form of colouring.
