Not too shockingly heard about how the heavy rain has caused so much trouble to the citizens last night. Nearly everything on newsfeed today was about that. I sympathize those ones who lost their cars and all...sigh....You cannot stop natural disasters happening :/
Worst enough to start a day when the train was packed like sardines. No seats, overly sleepiness, with bad stomach and a runny nose without tissue found in my bag...Not to mention that my friend couldn't make it to AIT til an hour later. Yet she asked me to go there early to help her out last night....=3=
I had my one hour sitting in the computer room wechatting my owner, the one and only accompanied me as always. I asked him not to go out today if he could stay home finishing his work. The weather was bad enough to blow your eyebrows away =3= And I am serious....
Anyways my presentation was successfully accomplished in front of all my classmates. I was the 3rd person going up there voluntarily because I wanted to finish it as quick as possible. Pai was the first one presenting hers. This brave one was one of the best in our class who spent decent amount of time working on her project. I was planning to go after her, but after her great effort in performing, I hesitated a bit since I didn't think mine was good enough. It would be a disadvantage for me to go after one of the best in our class. Some of my classmates' were too innovative which made me go a bit dissatisfying with my own work sometimes.
Jim even made me feel worse when critically judging my slides were way too boring. But I was thinking that simply putting texts to each slide would make mine more informative. I had my own reason to be 'boring' >.> Unlike his, who wasn't prepared well enough to speak for 5 minutes. Btw Mickey, our dear friend, was the last presenter in the class. He sure didn't know what a proper presentation should be like>.> a 30 second one to wrap up everything...You win Mickey...=3= That amusing moment of being a clown up there having his first, also the last slide flipped over, following by a 'Thanks for listening' with him saying 'that's it. thank you'... What are you thinking man...It's a 25% final presentation...*facepalm*...Despite the fact that he didn't care much, others cared a lot. I couldn't see who else was like that. Everyone else was trying to present the best as we could....
Lesson finished, everyone started making some plans for our short holidays. For me, I have no holidays. Uni is still needed to attend, I still need to get busy with my uni work. Intense, and more intense period is getting close there... A few friends of mine and I went to this restaurant to have lunch together. But then two of them left three of us there because they said they had to go somewhere else. Gold, Jim and I had our 2 hours staying there talking about Hongkong politics and Korean plastic surgery for some reason. You know, the situation is aggravated in Hongkong these days. Most of people around the globe will support the citizens, and Gold was one of them because fighting for democratic belief is all they believe. Jim's opinion is sort of neutral on the other hand, he said he would support the citizens only when they made a peace, instead of going all like teenagers being rebellious forcing people to give the freedom they want. He thought of what they are doing as an act of stupidity taking the spotlight of making constant chaos in the city...
Coming back home to check something on jivi site, but I went all dumbfounded of the result I got for my presentation...I mean...I didn't think that I was that good to get a 90...o3o....The first ever presentation I got this high seriously...I stared at the result for a while thinking that Helen might like the part where I improvised a bit, and at the very least I had touched all the aspects needed to mention regarding to the criteria, whereas others might skip one point or a few...
I didn't do much tonight but relaxing by talking to my fatty from oversea. He taught me some ways to impress people during presentation, especially the one I'll be having in week13. The one that I am highly recommended by Liwen who said I should apply for the promotion and design director for 2015. Yes, I'm definitely up for it. I mean, how can I not? When everything I've done for the society these days is to get an executive position...
Lastly, instead of doing his circuitry which he planned to finish tonight, somebody talked to me for 2 hours saying how regrettable he felt for being absent for the charity ball lol...Yes.... Somebody totally missed the chance ey >.> Not to mention that I had exposed too much information when we both went to film fest together last time...
My conclusion to our talk is, you never know how much each person means to you. What he said tonight has made me miss some people somehow. But you know, past is the past...I've already moved on, what about you?
