Chinese new year parade...(2nd of Feb)

It was all planned until we found out that we arrived there too early. He then led me to play pool for two hours, and I was taught how to play proper pool for several times. Not to mention that I still need a lot of practices. More than a lot. I wish I could have started something much earlier, then I should be a pro like him now lol

The pre-parade was already so fun to watch once a group of people dressed as tall horses amusingly doing cool poses and making people laugh. It was a great idea to sit at the front anyways or else it would have been quite a hard time for me to watch the whole parade with giant people standing in front of me and blocking my vision. Panpan hugged me behind as a shelter of my tiny body. And I turned around and hugged him back, he handed me his earphone so we could listen to music together. Even with such a small spot to stand with two people, we still had our private time dancing slowly while tightly hugging each other.

Until then, the parade finally started at 8:30, instead of sharp 8pm. It only lasted for one and a half hours with fancy cars driving through the main street, people from different regions, institutions, some were even from overseas came all the way to this parade, to celebrate our traditional Chinese new year in a variety of stylised  manners. The styles they presented themselves, the formations and patterns when they passed the audience, the costumes they designed to highlight the cheerfulness we shared all together, the atmosphere they brought up with this liveliness within the crowd, were expressively the greatest wishes to every Chinese in Sydney, and those who weren't from Chinese background yet still were able to feel the same as we did. Because everything that came with happiness has no barrier, despite where you are from.

I took plentiful of photos with my new phone. But I recorded even more because people moved too fast to be captured. After the parade, panpan and I walked to darling harbour but we spent a bit of time staying opposite of the building where it showed the light projections as I demanded to take some photos of it. We then late for the firework. And he bumped into his friends Sonia and Parsh at the end haha

Awesome parade but in my opinion, the year before last was even more awesome >.>

Lastly here are some photos taken during the parade... ENJOY!!! :3
