Too much fun with my friend Tao today at underground film festival at Marrickville. Good thing that we planned ahead, And we made it there 40 minutes before the first film started. We joked around shittyrail and all on our way to that place where it took us 20 minutes to walk. So much laughter during the time we wandered around that place in that half an hour. We shared hell lots of past stories and soon, I revealed that part of me as something he said reached my heart. So I've found my good buddy here who also likes to explore new places and do new things. I couldn't say how relaxed and happy I felt today, even I was half joking half serious insulted by him who described my lower body as carrots like lol I had this self-mocking moment saying how long and skinny my fingers are, unfortunately my legs aren't having the same traits as them...
Several break between each film was our time to start talking again, the film values we found in every film we watched, the perspective we had for disagreeing or agreeing with the producers, we were sort of exchanging what we felt about the movies, which got me really excited to listen to how he felt everytime when we finished watching it. Talking about the language exchange program we are having now is another thing we have in common. After knowing how he has this passion to travel alone, as well as learning languages, I was quite interested in knowing his travelling experiences in Thailand and Malaysia. Random me had so much random hysterical things to say to the point that he laughed crazily. Even 6 or 7 times of aeroplanes flew over our heads have gotten me wow-ing so much hahahah We had our glorious moment talking about the Jap action movie. And when mentioning about marriage, I told him that I didn't want to get married, he asked if it's because of my parents who got divorced, I said part of it; then he proceeded with a speculation that I may haven't found the right one, and he started to ask about my relationship, and I told him all, even including how my mum thinks about him.
Anyways I have to say I was quite worried about this guy having no food at all for the whole day. I know gym people do care to keep themselves healthy by having healthy food, but one day of unhealthy food won't harm that much right? >.> This guy insisted not getting anything. So I shared my corns with him at least. He was a fast eater whereas I spent half an hour finishing mine... Rainy day caused the weather so cold, even worse was that we had to wait outside with no seats at all, since most of the seats were taken. During the time we waited for the third movie, he grabbed me a chair to sit yet himself was standing next to me. Not to mention how caring I felt from him when he typed a message asking if I was safe on my way back home. But before he sent that to me, I already asked him if he was safe home yet. So we were laughing at how sync we are to type the messages to each other for the same purpose at the same time. Same as him, who said he had been overwhelmingly having fun with me today to the underground film festival, I was too, enjoying myself in the film watching experiences, as well as our awesome interaction for the whole day :) Looking forward to seeing you next week!!
*Here are my thoughts about those 4 films we watched today:
1. LOVE CHILD is the movie, or a series of compilation switching between virtual world and real world. I particular like the filmic elements and the way they makes the video so unreal by metaphorically adding so much scenes from the actual game, which the couple was addicted to. On the other hand, the digitalised hand gestures and couple's back shot carried so much sense in relation to the theme of virtual world, where people have already turned this addiction to the ultimate level, where they cannot even distinguish what's real and unreal. By talking about the city-Seoul, is one of the high tech cities in the world, I assumed that really is a force has driven their people more into virtual gaming indulgence...After all, it's ridiculous to rather raise up the anima in that game instead your child. Looking at how technology has done to people, it'd be a much better idea to detach yourself a bit more from your gadgets STARTING FROM NOW...
2. APOCALYPTIC is just a name for 8 short films which they all have this central concern of the destruction of the world. Two of them are the ones I like the best - The last artist and yearbook. Here, I'd like to talk about the former. The last artist is to express no matter how beautiful the world is or you decide it to be, it won't be somewhere you enjoy living in if you are the only one here to see these views. Beauty you see from something only appears when you ain't alone; same as fun you have from something if there is someone else there share the fun with you....
3. Super duper Alice cooper is another documentary depicting this rock star's whole life. Sad that I fell asleep halfway through the movie. I seriously didn't find it boring but that was the time I usually have my nap at after uni on train or bus >3< I missed out a lot, Tao said I fell asleep for almost an hour >.> It sure is a good documentary though. How can it not be when seeing all this outrageous stage antics Alice Cooper has made his trend of shock rock o3o....Shooooooooo amajinggggg.....This half man, half woman and half alien dude really not afraid to have his own style. He really deserves that many fans to love him....
4. Why don't you play in hell features the insanely bloody scenes of this conflict between two clans, comes along with this madly untalented group of filmmaker wannabes collide with this clan's boss who wants to make a great movie for his daughter. The movie is so much wicked and fits in that category of 'Japanese action', hentai, like really, if you get what I mean...But everyone seemed to have their good time laughing their heads off through seeing so much ketchup (so much tomato sauce flying across the screen) which makes the ultimate action epic in its own way. Endlessly irreverent, wildly and hilariously visceral with a unique vision to its unleash...How mad a movie can it be....This producer is just so hentai...
