To start with this post, please send my deepest condolence to all the victims from all the flight crashes lately. I'd call this one holy dark month which has destroyed so many innocent lives. There is nothing more to express how heartbreaking their families feel. With one or more to say about what happened to Malaysian MH17, Taiwanese GE222 and Algerie AH5017, plus the missing MH370 which Mr Abbott claimed that he'd soon announce what really happened to the public after the black box was found, and he didn't. Life is too short to complain just by looking at so many tragic news happening nowadays. We are all lucky ain't we?
Well...at least I do feel lucky having my friends and my mum around though I am not really that type of person who can be easily satisfied with everything. But then again, I've tried to put myself into those situations in the news and found that it is not right to complain too much about life. For example just a little thing happened today. In the early morning, I was hand drawing my 3 fonts in my studio class for almost 90 minutes. As we were told, we had to show Helen what we've got in her lesson, so I was in a rush to finish my work and show her my work 10 minutes after the class started. We couldn't get on the next task before we finishing off our 3 fonts design. Hence, everyone was busy working on it. Except a few people have done theirs including me, but only that I was in a rush to finish it in order to start doing our weekly blog post. She checked mine and said none of them completely fulfilled her requirements as they all look too fancy and cover with too much elements which she wouldn't suggest, which means I had to redo everything..So I spent that two hours designing another three fonts. I was asked for help by a few people though I needed to work on my own as well. Jim was too lazy to sign up for his own blogger so I helped him to do it, and this guy whose Tia's friend, wasn't quite clear the task we were doing til I told him that we had to get this done and show Helen first before start our work on the visual diary. Tia, on the other hand, was carefully drawing her three fonts. She really is a conservative type because I couldn't see much creativity from her work. Yet I've seen some really great ones such as Gold's, Nelson's and Mickey's who looked up from the dafont sites. Gold's one has shading too much though...And when Mickey asked me to go to his table to check out his work, he almost pressed me to his seat, one arm on my shoulder and the other arm on Jim's while asking both of us how we thought about his work as if we worked as a group or something.
Anyways I was having this fun time talking to Pai about our fetish of happy tree friends and headphones. I really wish I can take animation course this sem. It sounds so much more fun than the courses I did last sem. I mean the courses taken from last sem are enough of fun. But animation is one epic course for someone like me who wants to make short clips out of everything else...
